The Puerto Rican Noble Bank, allegedly servicing the accounts of Tether Ltd and Bitfinex, faced a lack of financing due to stagnation in the cryptocurrency market. It is reported by Modern Consensus, citing its own sources.
In the hope of stabilizing the situation and receiving financial support, the representatives of Noble Bank contacted the major “hodler” Tether, but there was no answer.
According to Modern Consensus, if within a few days the management of the bank does not find a way out of the situation, Noble Bank faces closure.
Tether Ltd. may also face problems. It is reported that recently the USDT steblecoin owner was unable to find a buyer for the sale of “tens of millions of tokens”.
Let’s note, last year the American bank Wells Fargo without the explanations of the reasons has suspended service of accounts of clients Tether.
